Dr. Shibu Vijayan is Chief Medical Officer for Global Health at Qure.ai. He is a clinician and public health specialist with extensive experience in tuberculosis, infectious diseases, digital health, and the design and evaluation of public health programmes.
Professional Experience
Dr. Vijayan has more than 25 years of experience in community and public health. Before joining Qure.ai, he held senior roles at PATH and worked with the World Health Organization and Médecins Sans Frontières on tuberculosis control and field epidemiology.
Public Health and Tuberculosis
He is an accredited international tuberculosis expert whose work has included the development, monitoring, and evaluation of public health projects in India and other countries. His areas of interest also include infectious diseases, lung health, and maternal and child health.
Digital Health and Research
At Qure.ai, Dr. Vijayan supports the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools to expand access to screening and care in underserved settings. His research contributions include implementation lessons from artificial intelligence-assisted chest X-ray screening for tuberculosis.
